Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides Teaser
If you thought the PotC franchise was finished you should think again. The forth film in the series, titled Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is set to be released May 20, 2011.
Walt Disney Pictures has put Rob Marshall at the helm to direct the movie, which was written by Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott.
The film will of course star every bodies favorite pirate Johnny Depp. Penelope Cruz will also star in the new instalment along with Ian McShane.

The plot, though only a rumor at this time
“follows the exploits of Captain Jack Sparrow, who travels to the new world after the death of his puppeteer father to confront his uncle, who apparently has made off with the family inheritance. During the voyage, he gets to know a woman named Beth Hurwood and her father, an Oxford professor. Before they arrive, their ship is waylaid by pirates and, with the help of the professor and his assistant, the captain is killed and Sparrow is forced to join the pirate crew. There is, however, a sinister plot being concocted by the professor involving his dead wife, his living daughter and Blackbeard. Blackbeard and vodun magicians whisk everyone away to dreamlike lands where the Fountain of Youth itself awaits. Jack Sparrow must put a stop to these plans and save Beth Hurwood.”

It is said that the story for the new movie will be partially based off of the book On Stranger Tides written by Tim Powers. The storyline was partially hinted about in the third and final film of the original trilogy where Jack and Barbossa chase after the Fountain of Youth.
Is this the start of a new trilogy? You know it is, especially if this movie is as successful as the original Pirates of the Caribbean films were. Johnny Depp is an amazing actor, and he has a whole list of great movies but he will be forever known as Capt. Jack Sparrow.
