If things weren’t already bad enough Haiti it looks like they are going to to get worse. Haiti was hit by another earthquake today with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter Scale. The report comes from the US Geological Service, and is the second earthquake to shake the island. The quake hit Haiti near Port-au-Prince about three hours ago. If you haven’t made a donation to help the people of Haiti here are a couple of the ones you may consider donating through. First is Hatian born sing and musician Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti charity. The Red Cross as well as unicef are also accepting donations and providing aid to the people who’s lives have been thrown into chaos by the earthquakes. Here is a video from the AP showing some of the first images and footage from today’s aftershock.

Tornado Warning in Los Angeles

No sooner than I posted about Conan O’brian parting ways with NBC there is a tornado warning in south-central LA. Do they have anything to do with one another? Probably not. But this is very rare for there to be any warnings of this type in Orange County. If you’re in San Clemente, Mission Viejo, Long Beach and Laguna Beach areas keep a weather eye out. The National Weather Service put out the alarm around 12:30 – 1:15 pm today and was then renewed until 2:30 pm. This was accompanied by strong winds, waves and lightning. Because of the severe weather and 15+ meter waves the piers were also closed down in: Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach Seal Beach and Ventura. The LA County Fire Department reported that there has been some street and building flooding in the Los Angeles area. The tornado warning was covered much of Orange County. Some of the cities included in the warning were: Anaheim, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Santa Ana and Seal Beach. Stay safe and keep a weather eye out!
